Greetings!
Thanks so much for the photo birthday card. You were so nice to
remember me! I just wish I could eat some of what you were having! But
it's not on my "list" yet...sigh....
I'm doing quite well, thank you. I'm almost back to normal
weight---hurray! (Now how many women will you hear celebrating weight
gain?!!) I'm tolerating the chemo treatments well, and I'm able to do
almost anything I feel like doing. I haven't been able to play tennis,
though, which I missed this summer a lot. Oh, well, next summer!
Thanks again for your card, and thanks also for the warm and wonderful
sentiments in it. You were always one of our favorite kids and families,
and sometimes we old people sit around and wish we could go back to the best
parts of the past. Well, that's enough suds for now, I think.
You take care of yourself and enjoy what's left of the fall. We've had
gorgeous colors around here this year but we're just starting to get past
peak season. Which means it's getting time to start raking. Wonderful. My
back is complaining already! No, actually, we don't mind raking really very
much. We just hope we have some nice days next week so we can have them out
for the Leaf Pick-up. Otherwise, we won't know what to do with them!
They'll make a "wall" over three feet high out in front from once side of
our property to the other, and that's a lot of leaves!!
If you have trees, enjoy them...colors and raking. If not, enjoy
watching other people's colors and them raking their leaves!
Hugs and Blessings! Yvonne"
